「日本ファシズム」の研究書３冊

いわゆる「夏枯れ」の前に出版する予定のいろんな企画が目白押しで、もう11時をすぎたら仕事したくないです。で、読書へ現実逃避なのであります。

ウルトラナショナリストの神道人として、誰を上げているのかナーと紹介を読んでみると、筧克彦だった。上杉慎吉や穂積八束は「神道人」なのか？？　とりあえず、海外研究者による筧克彦論は読んでみたいので購入。国家神道の概説書みたいな感じでありませんように祈る。

対象にしているのが、present in novels, essays, popular songs, film, and political writings――ということなので、「日本ファシズムの美学」といってもかなり領域を絞っているように思うが。表紙の写真もわかったようなわからないような、勘違い系暗喩くさいのが不安。でも、まあ「日本ファシズムの美学」と来たらとりあえず買いでしょう。勘違い本でもネタにはなるし。

The Culture of Japanese Fascism (Asia-Pacific: Culture, Politics, and Society)

上掲書の著者が編者になっているアンソロジー。タイトルからして、もしかして日本浪漫派とかのエッセイの翻訳で埋め尽くされているのかと思って、Duke U.P. のサイトで目次をみたら、なかなかの充実振りであります。これは大いに期待できそうです。とくに、かなりシブいところを突いている「Fascism's Furry Friends: Dogs, National Identity, and the Purity of Blood in 1930s Japan / Aaron Skabelund」……「ファシズムのふわふわなお友だち」なんて面白そう。多分、有名な「日本犬」の広告群がネタではなかろうかと思いますが。
